Big Magic Tour with Elizabeth Gilbert in Asheville October 22

Elizabeth Gilbert, renowned for her 2006 memoir Eat, Pray, Love, will be in Asheville on her Big Magic Tour on Thursday, October 22. This tour features her newest publication Big Magic: Creative Living Beyond Fear. Big Magic explores Gilbert’s insights into the creative process and the fears that hinder it.
In Big Magic, Gilbert digs deep to share her own creative process, the power of inspiration, and the ability to step away from fears that hold you back. It features her signature, light-hearted prose and shares her own experiences with the writing process. Big Magic is, as described in a Malaprops summary as “an inspirational work with universal relevance that will move you ‘to dream of a life without limits.’”
Gilbert was born in Connecticut in 1969. She attended New York University where she received her Bachelor of Arts in political science. She now lives in Frenchtown, New Jersey. Her writing has earned a wide array of awards including: PEN/Hemingway award finalist, Number One New York Times Bestseller, and Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People in the World. Her bibliography includes Eat, Pray, Love; Committed: A Love Story; and The Signature of All Things.
The Big Magic Tour, Asheville edition, is $35 dollars per ticket, which includes admission to the event and a pre-signed copy of Big Magic.
